May Is For Makers Week 2 – Stamping!

In keeping with the variety of subjects on my blog, I wanted to give some independent designers of things other than quilts some attention.  Today, is stamping day in the May is for Makers campaign to show independent designers that their work has value.

I follow Heather North at Creative Blessings for her beautiful cards and quilts.  She is a quilter who also stamps, or is that a stamper who quilts?  Either way, her cards are creative and inspiring to me.

Heather does posts on different techniques, frequently with free videos showing different cardmaking techniques, like how she colored the leaves on these cards.  Click on the photo to see that video.

I have mostly Stampin’ Up products, and purchased a few items on sale from her site.  Heather is so generous with her time and talent!  Thank you, Heather, for your inspiring blog!

Just finding this post and curious as to what it is all about? Read about the May Is For Makers Campaign here.

And, I have to tell you, I have finally gotten on board with Twitter.  You can follow me there  @frmmycarolinahm , I had to truncate the blog name as it was too long, LOL!!  Please share your purchases from indie designers on social media with the hashtag #mayisformakers for the month of May.

Do you have a favorite card or stamping designer?

  1. I love what you have done. The Smile you are terrific one is my favorite and the words can hold such meaning in them

  2. Good Morning Carole! After visiting her blog, I can understand why you find inspiration. She is a very talented individual. Your posts alone make me want to start stamping and card making, but I have to draw the line somewhere…my house will not hold any more craft supplies in the way of a whole new process. LOL. Thank you for sharing and have a fantastic creative day!

  3. I am not a stamper either but I sure do love what you do. Heather’s site is wondrous and beautiful. Maybe someday when I have more room….

  4. I agree with Brenda, I cannot take on another craft, but her blog makes me want to! Beautiful cards!
